Being a mechanic
Joyce is a professional writer who, no surprise, loves all things words. A content developer, communications consultant, publisher, and entrepreneur, her passion for well-written paragraphs is intricately woven in all her pursuits. After 12 years of experience writing for the sub-Saharan Africa market, she has evolved as a content developer focusing on corporate social responsibility materials and visibility comms materials for the private sector and project impact writing and audio-visual documentation for NGOs.
In 2009 Joyce pioneered one of a handful of technology periodicals in East Africa- Enterprise Technology magazine, which was published by her company ICT Creatives. The magazine sought to fill a critical gap in practical technology knowledge for companies looking to leverage new innovation for work efficiencies. The magazine also linked global buyers and sellers of technology. Joyce was formerly a writer for the first weekly technology column in Uganda's Daily Monitor. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda, and a Masters in Business, Entrepreneurship, and Technology from the University of Waterloo, Canada.
